Due to our continued growth we are looking for a competent Software Update and Compliance Engineer. The Software Update and Compliance Engineer role exists in the SDS Support Team and reports to the Customer Operations Manager.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside a team of highly-experienced and skilled Engineers located in our Serbian offices, helping to coordinate and streamline our reporting and software improvement/patching processes within a technical space.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Tracking and coordination of patching, PCI, and relevant or similar maintenance duties within our teams.

  • You will regularly be reviewing patching trackers and collating and escalating themes with an issues log.

  • You will be sharing and helping allocate work alongside the Customer Operations Manager and appropriate Patching & Maintenance Team Leader.

  • Responsible for compiling the Support Organization Monthly reports.

  • Preparation and tracking of software updates across all customer platforms.

  • Reporting of appropriate SDS tasks, and customer information – sharing with management as needed.

  • Tracking all issues and ensuring all failure information is captured for reporting and trend analysis.

  • Maintain detailed records of software updates

  • Create and maintain technical documentation on the software update process

  • Own and report back software update success to key stakeholders.

  • Updating of Wikis and guides on how to complete necessary task.

  • PCI Compliance tasks (weekly/monthly/quarterly).

  • Raising product defects/enhancements identified during software update and PCI Compliance tasks.

  • Ensure software update and PCI related documentation is kept up to date.

In fulfilling these responsibilities, you will be required to work closely with the wider SDS Support Team as you build and apply your knowledge and expertise of our product to our customers. As part of this you will be expected to ensure that the relevant patching and PCI documentation within the SDS knowledge base is kept up to date to assist the SDS Support team in supporting our customers.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive Office knowledge, and advanced Excel skills would be highly advantageous.

  • Understanding of tools like PowerBI for analytical reporting and data trending.

  • Understanding of Linux related systems would also be advantageous, but not mandatory.

  • Experience of remotely deploying software updates

  • Good written and verbal skills, to help coordinate and communicate with global customers/stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical skills with proven trouble-solving ability.

  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and apply new technologies.

  • Has an awareness of compliance and regulatory processes (PCI-DSS preferable).
